Pumping Iron (Documentary)

Summery

in this documentary we follow Arnold Schwarzenegger, competing in the 1975 Mr. Olympia

competition. We also get to meet Lou Ferrigno and watch his training program for what looks like an upcoming competition as well. The movie tries to paint a picture of body building as this heroic sport where only the most dedicated athletes make it,

Pumping Iron teach us that Body building in real life isn’t about being the strongest or having the biggest muscles. It’s more of an art than anything else, where every inch of your physique is carefully thought out so that it fits together perfectly giving you a certain look. People who competing aren’t trying their absolute best

to win, they’re trying their absolute best to look the most impressive

The movie goes into very in depth details about the body building process touching on subjects such as posing, tanning, massages, and even steroids. These scenes are fun to watch
