Cleopatra Documentary – Portrait Of A Killer

One of the most famous rulers of ancient Egypt, a woman admired on her beauty and her clever character, Cleopatra’s reign was known for taking advantage of her alluring looks seducing Julius Caesar and Marc Anthony, two legendary Roman leaders.

What has not been heard before is what archaeologist Neil Oliver reveals in the documentary; the sombre side of Cleopatra, which only one Roman historian, Cassius Dio, had ever even mentioned. His writings have been considered as Roman propaganda since there was no proof, until now!

Studying a skeleton found in a tomb in Ephesus, Turkey, the documentary leads the viewers to knowing the other side of Cleopatra’s life. Anthropological and architectural analysis convince the experts of the connection to Cleopatra. The skeleton seems to belong to Arsinoe, Cleopatra’s sister, whom she had murdered by Mark Anthony. The now found evidence supports the story.

The documentary paints a picture of real people in a time where rulers were entangled in power, love, cruelty and murder.
