Quest For The Lost City follows the journey of two experts, Dr Neil Brodie of Cambridge University and Mayan specialist Simone Clifford-Jaeger, as they lead an expedition deep into Guatemala.
The location of a mysterious place, known only as Site Q, has puzzled scientists since the 1960s. The discovery of a set of ancient panels spoke of a lost Mayan city, suspected to exist somewhere within the valley of the Usumacinta River, deep within the Guatemalan jungle.
The documentary charts their expedition as it seeks to uncover the secrets. Yet it is a trail that has already been previously followed by other Mayan experts. Upon the expected discovery of the lost city within the jungle the expedition changes course as new clues come to light at Site Q. Other players enter the picture, new revelations are found and the puzzle becomes much deeper.
